Jim Zimmerman

Jim Zimmerman has over 40 years of broad-based marketing and advertising experience on the client and agency side. Prior to starting The Zimmerman Group, Jim was Director of New Products and Business Development at Pillsbury. Jim has helped TZG clients launch over 200 new products and brands. He describes each client relationship as a marketing partnership, and he’s proud that the average client partnership exceeds 8 years.

Fun Fact:  Jim enjoys sharing his knowledge and expertise. He developed and taught a 3-day national seminar as well as teaching about new products at Columbia University and the University of Minnesota. He’s also a fan of classic old boats and serves on the Board of Directors for the Museum of Lake Minnetonka, which owns and operates the Steamboat Minnehaha.

Kathy Ashpole brings broad-based creative and production expertise to every client’s project. Intimately involved in numerous award-winning advertising campaigns, Kathy is equally proud of her work designing innovative sales materials, packaging designs, direct mail and email pieces, trade show booths and websites. In addition, she is a “human Rolodex” which allows her to source and produce everything from Chinese translations to puzzles and games, to Minnesota State Fair corn hats, and she loves the aroma of printing ink, almost as much as the smell of coffee.

Fun Fact: While growing up, her family pets – besides multiple dogs and cats – included 2 goats (given away after a tragic flower bed incident), a mini horse, a pig, an owl, 3 geese, multiple orphaned wild rabbits and various rodents – both domestic and wild. And in hindsight, with her last name, she probably shouldn’t have named her cat Harry.
